Reflecting your style inside and out, the AYGO is Toyota’s bold and economical city car. Ideal for urban life, the AYGO is also great fun to drive and highly customisable.
The AYGO’s design is fresh and contemporary, with bold and sharp exterior lines which will turn heads on the pavement. The car’s headlights are phased elegantly with the bonnet for a clean effect at the front, while the car’s long tail lights create a sleek finish at the rear. Available in six trim levels, the AYGO makes room for every personality. Entry level x trim comes with a decent array of standard equipment, including 14-inch steel wheels, LED daytime running lights and electric front windows. Higher-spec x-cite, x-pure and x-clusive allow you to get more creative, offering a great array of body colours and chunkier 15-inch alloy wheels.
The interior is all about functionality, with a streamlined single-pod dashboard for ease of use while driving. A height-adjustable driving seat and leather steering wheel with integrated controls are standard on x-play trim, while x-press, x-style and x-clusive come with body-coloured fascias and automatic air conditioning.
All trims are equipped with the AYGO’s 69bhp 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine, which provides a nimble and responsive ride. It produces a characterful thrum when revved, and generates a respectable maximum torque of 95Nm. It is also highly economical, returning up to 69mpg and generating a mere 95g/kg of emissions. The car’s agile steering allows you to effortlessly navigate the most congested of city roads.
The innovative x-touch infotainment system is optional on x-play, and offered as standard from x-press. It comes with a seven-inch colour display, DAB function and reversing camera, and can be upgraded to include Toyota’s clever x-nav system for all your routing needs.
Awarded a four-star Euro NCAP rating, the Toyota AYGO is among the leaders in the city car field in terms of safety. It is fitted with six airbags, which includes a Supplementary Restraint System (SRS) that covers passengers in both the front and the rear. The AYGO also benefits from Hill-Start Assist Control (HAC), which applies the brake automatically for two seconds after you release it, to prevent your vehicle from rolling back. You can add optional Toyota Safety Sense too, which features Pre-Collision System and Lane Departure Alert technologies to keep you alert to hazards at all times.
