The Toyota Auris Touring Sports is an estate version of its parent model, the Auris hatchback. It boasts a great design, offers a generous amount of space and comes with a pick of petrol, diesel and hybrid engines. It’s a comfortable and efficient solution to your family’s needs.
The Auris Touring Sport’s shares the Auris’ sleek and distinctive design, but adds 28.5cm of length for even greater space. The car’s body combines a robust and wide stance with more angular and agile lines at the front, for a feel that is both durable and contemporary. Alloy wheels and body-coloured power-adjustable door mirrors are available with all five trim levels. Mid-range Icon gets front fog lights and silver roof rails, while range-topping Excel adds intelligent dusk-sensing LED headlights and an optional panoramic sunroof.
Journeys will never feel longer than they are in the Auris Touring Sports, which provides a comfortable, roomy and customisable interior. It features the Easy Flat system, which allows you to recline the car’s seats seamlessly with the touch of a button, and a vast luggage space of up to 1,658 litres so you have plenty of storage for trips away. Higher-Spec Business Edition trim offers cruise control and electrically-adjustable lumbar support, while flagship Excel sports pains sensors, plush Alcantara upholstery with leather trim and dual-zone climate control.
The Auris Touring Sports comes with a choice of two petrol engines, two diesels and one hybrid powertrain. The most powerful petrol engine is the 1.2 litre, which does 60mph in approximately 10 seconds and the 1.4-litre and 1.6-litre diesels offer a good range of power, and return an approximate, and economical, 68mpg at the pumps. The hybrid engine offers the most smooth and frugal level of performance. It is pleasantly quiet on the road, and emits a low of 81g/kg of CO2 emissions.
Safety and Technology
Awarded a full five stars for safety when crash tested by Euro NCAP, the Auris Touring Sports features a full complement of airbags, anti-lock brakes, hill-start assistance and emergency braking assistance. All models excluding Active also feature Toyota Safety Sense, which features various active safety systems for even more secure drives.
Toyota’s Touch 2 infotainment system is included from Icon trim, and provides an entertainment and information hub to make for simpler, more enjoyable journeys. You can pair up to five mobile phones for music and SMS use, access mapping for seamless navigation and display your trip data to stay in control of each drive.
