The Hyundai i30 N was inspired by motorsport, a fact that lends it a unique and recognisable look – from the striking racing-inspired Performance Blue paint scheme to the confident and sporty visual stylings such as the bumpers, air intakes and rear spoiler, everything was designed with aerodynamics and speed in mind. Wherever it is, its aesthetics and distinctive noise will leave a lasting impression.
On the inside, the Hyundai i30 N connects itself to the driver through all touch points. The steering wheel allows you to switch between the Normal, Sport, Eco and N-mode driving styles seamlessly. A button on the steering wheel also allows you to activate the rev-matching control system that enhances engine control during gear shifting.
Racing influences also made their way into the instrument panel, with a shift timing indicator telling you when to shift gears for optimal performance and a variable intelligent LED rev-counter keeping track of your performance. Comfort is accentuated by sport seats and seat cushions that keep you focused and steady.
Powered by a 2.0-litre T-GDi turbocharged engine that delivers 250 PS of power which can be topped up by a performance pack to 275 PS, the i30 N will get you anywhere, and fast. Its powerful engine generates 353 Nm torque from 1,500 – 4,700 rpm, with up to 378 Nm achievable.
Advanced racing inspired features such as a launch control system that manages engine torque and a quick-shifting 6-speed manual transmission will help you aim for perfect shifts every time. With 6.1 seconds to get to 62 mph and a top speed of 155 mph, you will feel every moment of your drive.
An 8-inch touchscreen display feeds you all the high-performance driving data you need and is also a veritable infotainment system. With satnav capabilities and entertainment features such as Android Auto and Apple CarPlay you will never be bored on your journey. The five available driving modes also allow you, at the touch of a button, to change the i30 N’s suspension, sound and engine output to better suit your environment and conditions on the road.
A host of safety technology is standard on the Hyundai i30 N to ensure it protects as much as it thrills. Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) automatically applies the brakes if it detects something you haven’t, while a driver fatigue warning system scans your face and alerts you if you look too tired. These features, and others, such as Lane-keeping Assistance, have been the reason for the i30 N receiving an excellent five-star safety rating from the Euro NCAP safety body.
