The new-generation Hyundai i30 flawlessly integrates simple, yet classy design – both inside and out. This clever hatchback features more technology, comfort, space and safety than ever before – making it a great choice for the modern family. Five trim levels are available – S, SE, SE Nav, Premium and the top-of-the-range Premium SE. Prices start from £17,000 (S 1.0 T-GDi 120 PS Petrol Manual).
The design of this elegant five-door hatchback is timeless. The wide, low stance has stand-out appeal, as do the cascading grille and precise lines that form the car’s sophisticated shape. The latest Hyundai i30 exudes confidence, with a bold hexagonal front grille and prominent LED daytime running lights on every trim level. On S, SE and SE Nav models subtle flashes of chrome flank the Hyundai badge and number plate. The Premium trim adds a dark chrome surround with full chrome inserts for extra class.
Hyundai aims to optimise the experience in the cabin in the new i30. The versatile space has a premium feel, with quality upholstery and beautiful, soft touch materials. These features are complemented by a sharp, black and alloy-effect fascia trim. Meanwhile, cool blue lighting creates a laid-back feel, while minimising eye strain. The intuitive centre console places everything at the driver’s fingertips. It’s a space of calm that makes every journey a relaxing one.
It’s worth noting that the new Hyundai i30 is one of the most fuel-efficient cars in its class, saving you money on both fuel and tax. What’s more, the two petrol and one diesel engine make it fun to drive. The entry-level 1.0-litre T-GDi is a downsized, turbocharged petrol unit with 118bhp, with intelligent Stop & Go to further improve efficiency. The 1.4-litre T-GDi is equipped with the same technology, as is the 1.6-litre CRDi diesel. The latter has CO2 emissions of just 99g/km, so it’s the best choice for environmentally-friendly drivers.
Technology and safety
The latest active safety systems feature on the new Hyundai i30. These include autonomous emergency braking with a front collision warning system, lane keeping assist and rear cross traffic alert as standard. All models also come with the new driver attention alert – a driver protection feature that helps monitor driving patterns, detecting and alerting fatigued drivers to prevent potential accidents. In fact, the new i30 has the most advanced safety package and the longest list of standard active safety features in its class. In SE Nav models and up, you get a 3D-map navigation system to make driving even easier. Premium models come with keyless entry as standard.
