IT systems administrator - Canterbury

Duties and responsibilities

  • Provide 1st Line Technical Support to All Group Businesses during normal working hours
  • Provide 2nd Line Technical Support to All Group Businesses depending on experience
  • Maintain a High Level of Customer Support for all support issues received
  • Communicate with Group Staff either via email, on the telephone or face to face
  • Attend group Sites to resolve issues on site as and when required
  • Preparation and Configuration of new and existing computer equipment to required group standards
  • Raise Support calls with Third Party Support companies where appropriate
  • Creation and Removal of user access for New staff and departing Staff
  • Basic system administration of the group computer systems
  • Attend group Sites to complete installations of new equipment
  • Attend group sites to aid with major projects such as refits, new acquisitions
  • Complete specific projects as assigned to them by The Group IT Manager
  • Perform any other task that is required to ensure group functionality
  • Ensure Group IT Policies are enforced at all times

Applicant’s requirements:

  • To have previous experience within a IT support role
  • The Individual needs to be flexible, prepared to work away from home, either as part of a team or on their own, for short periods if there is a requirement to complete a group major project
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines
  • To communicate well with colleagues
  • To be well organised and methodical when attacking projects
  • To dress according to the Motorline handbook uniform requirements.
