2010 Practical Caravan Towcar Awards - two more awards for Skoda

2010 – Practical Caravan Towcar Awards – the Superb Estate 2.0 TDI 170 SE wins best car in the 1575 to 1724kg class; the Octavia Estate 1.6 TDI CR GreenLine wins the Green Award category

The Superb Estate's impressive size was commended, having 633 litres with the seats upright and a 'huge' 1865 with the seats folded forward.  The rear seat space was described as 'exceptional for a family estate' with available space rivaling some luxury cars.  The towing capabilities were also praised, as was the Superb Estate's value for money and fuel economy.

Practical Caravan - who were backed by What Car? and the Camping and Caravanning Club at the awards - described the Octavia Estate GreenLine as 'One of the best ['green'} cars we've tested.'  Like the Superb Estate, the Octavia GreenLine was praised for its towing capbility and fuel economy.  The magazine went on to say, Official economy figures are exeptionally good for a car as large and roomy as this one.  The Octavia's 64.2mpg makes it one of the most fuel-efficient cars on test, and carbon dioxide emissions of 114g/km will keep road tax bills low too.
