The spacious and comfortable Trafic features a practical load space and a range of cost-effective engine options. This mid-size van comes in Panel Van, Crew Van and Passenger variants, and Business, Business+ and Sport trim levels. The versatile Trafic can also be selected from a range of lengths and heights too.
The smart-looking Traffic comes with a left side-loading door as standard which, in addition to 180-degree-opening rear doors, provides excellent loading flexibility. Other useful features include electrically adjustable and heated door mirrors, which also come with external temperature sensors. Ten eye-catching paint finishes are available too, any one of which can be selected at no extra cost with Business and Business+ grades. These include Bamboo Breen, Panorama Blue, Magma Red, Glacier White and Jet Black.
The driver is provided with a height-adjustable and lumbar-supporting seat and a rake-and-reach-adjustable steering wheel – all the better to establish a comfortable position. Electric front windows are featured too, while Business+ and Sport trims also feature air conditioning with a pollen filter. A full steel bulkhead provides a safe barrier between the Trafic’s cab and its cargo bay. Depending on which model – and height and length – you select, load volume ranges from 3,200 litres to 4,000 litres, while payload varies from 980kg to 1,040kg.
A range of 1.6-litre diesel engines are available for the Trafic. A 95bhp unit is installed as standard, complete with a six-speed manual gearbox. This delivers up to 47.1mpg and a 155g/km CO2 emissions figure. The most fuel-efficient option available for the van is a 125bhp engine, which returns as much as 50.4mpg and CO2 emissions as low as 145g/km.
A DAB digital radio is included as standard, providing a wide range of stations in crystal-clear sound quality. Bluetooth connectivity and USB and AUX inputs are featured too, enabling you to stream music and connect and play your compatible media devices.
Sport grades also feature a seven-inch touchscreen display which, among other things, provides access to navigation functionality.
Safety and security
A wide range of driver aids include Hill-start Assist, which prevents the vehicle rolling uncontrollably on a slope whenever the engine is started. Grip Xtend is also featured, providing greater control on slippery surfaces by delivering more traction to the vehicle’s front wheels. Each traveller is secured with three-point seatbelts, which include pre-tensioners and force-limiters.
A variety of security features include an electronic immobiliser, remote central locking and deadlocking. The vehicle’s spare wheel, meanwhile, is contained in an anti-theft holder.
