The Peugeot Boxer offers plenty of payload capacity and provides substantial load space too. This flexible commercial vehicle comes in one of two trim levels (Standard or Professional) and Panel Van or Window Van iterations. There are also four vehicle lengths to choose from, ranging from L1 to L4.
Panel Van variants are fitted with 180o-opening rear doors and a nearside sliding side-door for flexible access to the vehicle’s load bay. Window Vans, meanwhile, feature glazed rear doors (with heated windows) and an offside sliding side-door. Labour-saving features include power-adjustable and heated side-view mirrors and remotely adjustable headlamps.
A choice of five solid colours is available as standard, helping the Boxer to attract attention. These include Bianca White, Clipper Blue and Horizon Yellow. Ruby Red, Golden White and Graphite Grey are among a number of optional paint finishes that are also available.
The Boxer provides a three-way-adjustable seat with adjustable lumbar support and a reach-adjustable steering wheel, both of which enable the driver to get comfortable. Power-operated front windows, a four-speed heater-blower and four face-level air vents are included as standard, each helping to maintain an agreeable cab temperature.
A full steel bulkhead (or ladder frame with Window Panel models) divides passenger and cargo areas. Depending on the model and vehicle length selected, load space varies between 8,000 litres and 17,000 litres. Similarly, payload ranges from 1,140kg to 1,900kg.
A range of 2.0-litre diesel engines are available for the Boxer, each paired with six-speed manual transmission. A 110bhp unit is fitted as standard, delivering 304Nm of torque, up to 47.1mpg and a 163g/km CO2 emissions figure. Also available is a 130bhp engine, which produces 350Nm, CO2 emissions as low as 158g/km and comes with a fuel-saving start/stop system.
A four-speaker sound system is provided for your listening enjoyment. This includes an AM/FM radio and DAB digital tuner, as well as Bluetooth and USB connectivity. Professional trims also include a CD player, a touchscreen display and integrated navigation functionality.
Safety and security
A variety of driving aids are featured as standard, such as Anti-lock Braking System and always-enabled Electronic Stability Programme (ESP). ESP uses onboard technology to help ensure that the vehicle remains on its intended course. Also included is a spare wheel and three-point height-adjustable seatbelts. A Thatcham engine immobiliser, remote central locking and a clearly visible VIN identifier are provided to keep the vehicle secure.
