Approved Used Hyundai IONIQ models available in Kent, Gloucestershire and Worcestershire

The IONIQ comes in three iterations: hybrid, pure-electric and plug-in hybrid (PHEV), and is the first such vehicle to be manufactured by the South Korean marque. The car is an ideal choice for young families, particularly as it delivers very low running costs and comes with a full five-star Euro NCAP safety rating.

The IONIQ has met with widespread critical approval, and not just for its green credentials. For instance, this five-door hatchback rides on 15-inch alloy wheels as standard and all models feature a leather-wrapped steering wheel and air conditioning. This five-seat car also comes with a six-speaker sound system (including DAB radio) – and Bluetooth® connectivity for music streaming and hands-free telephone communication. The IONIQ possesses a considerable 443-litre boot space too, which can be expanded to 1,410 litres with rear seats folded. (Please note that electric-only variants offer a cargo capacity that ranges between 350 litres and 1,410 litres.)

Hybrid models are fitted with a 1.6-litre 104bhp petrol engine, assisted by a 43bhp electric motor. This combination delivers 0-60mph in approximately 10.6 seconds, while returning as much as 83.1mpg and a 79g/km CO2 emission figure.

Electric-only iterations feature a 28-kWh lithium-ion polymer battery pack, which is surprisingly small and lightweight considering that it puts out 119bhp. This sees the car progress from 0-60mph in less than ten seconds while producing zero CO2 emissions. Upon a full charge, the electric-powered IONIQ offers a driving range of 174 miles. Charging typically takes between 4.5 hours and 12 hours, depending on the power source used.

PHEV variants feature a 60bhp electric motor and a 1.6-litre 104bhp petrol engine, a union that returns a staggering 257mpg. It also produces emissions as low as 26g/km and delivers 0-60mph in a little over ten seconds. It’s capable of an all-electric driving range of 39 miles too, which is greater than the average commute.

The IONIQ comes with a wide range of safety features, such as Cruise Control and rear parking sensors, as well as Auto Emergency Braking (AEB) and Lane-keeping Assist (LKA). AEB analyses the movement of vehicles ahead, autonomously applying braking pressure to help avoid collisions, while LKA ensures that the IONIQ doesn’t inadvertently drift out of lane.

The IONIQ is one of many high-quality, competitively-priced Approved Used vehicles available from Motorline Hyundai. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you would like to know more.
