Telesales parts advisor-TPS Gatwick

Main purpose of job

  • To contact customers via the telephone in order to either sell promoted product, advise customers of new products and campaigns or to conduct satisfaction reviews
  • Train staff in telephone sales techniques
  • Monitor staff performance and ensure our customers are receiving the best possible service from the sales office

Key tasks and responsibilities

  • Maintain and update customer database
  • Use customer database to create call lists and follow up system
  • Design tailored approach to telephone calls ensuring clear objectives are selected
  • Delegate calls to specific customers as required
  • Record customer contacts, sales and stocking policies
  • Design sales incentives and promotions for internal staff in conjunction with TPS manager
  • Make structured and planned telephone calls to customers
  • Communicate customer information to Sales Development Managers
  • Record and act upon information received from Sales Development Managers
  • Advise branch of daily performance in sales campaigns
  • Design and drive daily sales activity within the sales office
  • Set targets for chosen periods and/or announced sales promotions
  • Record lost sales in the prescribed manner
  • Ensure quotations are followed up at the appropriate time
  • Recognise shortcomings in team sales techniques
  • Assist staff in improving sales techniques
  • Monitor team telephone answering performance
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of products, prices and key competitors
  • To assist in the development of strategy to increase business in accordance with Business Improvement Plan.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations in accordance with company policy.
  • Undertake any other tasks and responsibilities within the TPS business as requested by your Manager.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience within a Parts advisor position within the Motor trade
  • Strong knowledge of parts
  • Must have a valid UK driving licence with no more than 3 points
  • Must live within 30 minutes of Crawley

Hours of work:

  • Monday to Friday 8.00am – 6.00pm + Saturday 1 in 3 8.00am – 1.00pm
